October 18, 2019 - USW Local 1944 endorses the NDP in the Federal Election. The reason is simple: the NDP is the only party that will properly invest in services that people need, make life and housing more affordable, implement pharmacare and affordable child care, protect and improve public and private pension plans, and address the climate issue while creating sustainable jobs.

October 7, 2019 - We wish to advise everyone that Jordan Mohle has resigned from his Trustee position on the Local 1944 Executive Board. We thank Brother Mohle for all the work that he contributed since taking on this role in 2016. We are pleased to inform that Ross Brown, a Plant brother working at Telus in the Lower Mainland of BC, has stepped up to take on the role of Trustee.

October 4, 2019 - On Wednesday, September 25th, Peter Massy, a legendary activist of our predecessor Union, the Telecommunications Workers Union, passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer.
