December 15, 2017 - The USW Local 1944 is pleased to announce that Sister Rachel Roseneder has been appointed as the new Trustee for the Employee Life and Health Plan (ELHP). She will take office on January 1st, 2018.

Rachel Roseneder will be filling a vacancy following the retirement of Brother Lance Trevison.

"I am very happy to welcome Sister Rachel Roseneder as our new ELHP Trustee," said Lee Riggs, National President of the USW Local 1944. "She has proven her commitment and her proficiency many times over the past years, and I fully trust her to perform her new duties in the best possible way. Brother Lance Trevison has served as a Trustee since July 2007. He has been a great asset to the Plan and his contributions will be greatly missed."

Rachel has a passion for advancing women's rights in the workplace. She completed Women of Steel training, attended the USW National Women's Conference in 2015 and raised donations for various community organizations in the West Kootenays. Currently, Rachel is enrolled in the USW Leadership Development Scholarship program and will be entering into level 3 this year.
