October 3, 2017 - Last night, after meeting with the Conciliation Officer, Shaw Cablesystems tabled their final offer for the Abbotsford Division of Unit 60.

The bargaining committee met today to review the offer in detail and to seek further clarification with the Company. While the bargaining committee has concerns over the agreement, the offer will be brought to the membership for a vote. The bargaining committee is recommending acceptance of the offer. Should the offer be ratified, the Union will work to ensure Shaw implements the terms of the new agreement as discussed at the bargaining table.

A ratification meeting will be held in the days ahead.

Further information regarding the tentative agreement and the ratification meeting will be communicated directly to the members of the Abbotsford Division.

USW Local 1944 has been bargaining with Shaw since early March for the agreement that expired March 31, 2017.
