October 5, 2017 - As announced previously this week, USW Local 1944 has reached a tentative agreement with Shaw Cablesystems regarding the collective agreement.

The Unit 60 Bargaining Committee is recommending acceptance.

The ratification vote will be held next week:

We encourage all Abbotsford members to come and meet with your Bargaining Committee. We will review the changes to your collective agreement, and answer all questions prior to voting.
Balloting will take place after the presentation.

“Our Bargaining Committee have reached a collective agreement and it will be up to our members to decide if they find it acceptable,” said Lee Riggs, National President of USW Local 1944.

The Bargaining Committee is led by Local Union Representatives Tamara Marshall and Jennifer Bucholtz, and includes Brothers James Large, Lyle Russell, Rob Thompson and alternate committee member Kelly Hope.
