August 21, 2017 - The United Steelworkers is conducting an election for the positions of the International Executive Board.
As part of the election process, your Local Union will use remote electronic voting to nominate candidates for International President, International Secretary-Treasurer, International Vice President (Administration), International Vice President (Human Affairs), National Director of Canada, International Vice President at Large, International Vice President and District Director.
The International Union Elections Manual provides that no candidate may be voted upon in the nomination process unless the name of that candidate has been submitted in writing by a member of the Local Union to the Local’s Recording Secretary in advance. The submission must be signed and indicate the office for which the candidate’s name is being submitted. Once a name is submitted, it cannot be withdrawn except by the candidate.
If you wish to submit the name of a candidate for consideration for the identified positions, it must be received by the date and time, and at the address indicated below.

After the submissions have been received, the Local Union will use a remote electronic voting process to enable each member to vote for the candidate(s) of their choice.
