Brother Jordan Mohle appointed as National Executive Council Trustee

December 13, 2017 - USW Local 1944 is pleased to announce that the National Executive Council has approved the appointment of Brother Jordan Mohle of Unit 8 in Kamloops, BC as Trustee, effective on January 1st, 2018.

Jordan Mohle will be filling a vacancy following the retirement of Brother Lance Trevison.

"Please join me in welcoming Brother Jordan Mohle to the National Executive Council as our new Trustee," said Lee Riggs, National President of USW Local 1944. "On the behalf of the Local as well as on a personal level, I want to thank Brother Trevison for his years of service and activism. He will be dearly missed, and we wish him the very best in his retirement."

"I am honoured to further serve the Local as Trustee and National Executive Council member," said Brother Mohle. "I pledge to help make decisions to ensure that that USW Local 1944 is placed in the best possible financial position and conducts its affairs in the best interest of the membership."

Brother Mohle is currently serving as Unit President in Kamloops. He previously served on our Finance Committee as Recording Secretary, and served as Chair for the Next Gen Committee. Among other achievements, he also has completed numerous labour training course, including Secretary-Treasurer, Advanced Shop Steward, Union Counselling, Building Power, Health and Safety, and Activist training. He is now enrolled in his third year of the USW's Leadership Development Scholarship program.
