Earlier this month, floods ravaged through communities across Eastern Ontario, Quebec, the Maritimes, and the Central Okanagan in British Columbia. Several of our members in the Greater Montreal Area were impacted by the floods, suffering damage to their property and losing personal possessions. The USW Local 1944 Civil and Human Rights Committee sought to offer assistance to these members by coordinating a donation drive at the LADM. Delegates came together and collected hundreds of dollars to support their fellow members in Montreal.
Following a brief Good of the Order, the LADM adjourned for the day.
