180 Steelworkers Need Your Solidarity

September 6, 2017 - Over 180 employees who work at Freedom Mobile’s call centre in Windsor, Ontario voted to join the our union earlier this year.

In mid-August, supported by a unanimous recommendation from their elected bargaining committee, the employees voted to reject a substandard contract offer from the company.

Freedom Mobile is a popular and growing cell phone brand. It is owned by Shaw Communications, a company that generated $1.3-billion in revenue in its most recent quarter.

Shaw and Freedom can afford a fair deal for these hard-working Freedom Mobile employees in Windsor.

You can help our new members in Windsor get the fair contract that they deserve by telling Shaw that you stand in support of a fair first collective agreement.

Will you make a quick phone call to Shaw’s head office to tell the company that Freedom Mobile should agree to a fair contract that respects the contributions of its Windsor employees?

The phone call is easy. When you click the MAKE THE CALL button, the system will call your phone and patch you through. Your phone number will not be given to Shaw and will not show up on call display.

Please take a moment to tell Shaw Communications that you support Freedom Mobile’s call centre workers.
