MAP Communications (formerly Stericycle) Bargaining Update #6 - June 4, 2019

June 4, 2019 - As previously announced, a tentative agreement was reached with Stericycle on May 23, 2019. 

All Stericycle members have a voice by voting on the tentative collective agreement. 

All members are encouraged to attend one of the ratification meetings on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at 10:00 am or 6:00 pm.

The ratification meetings will be at the Vancouver Airport Marriott Hotel, Baker Room, located at 7571 Westminster Hwy in Richmond. 

Each ratification meeting will have a short presentation from the bargaining committee followed with a question and answer (Q&A) period. 

After the Q&A period, members can vote on the collective agreement changes in the tentative agreement. 

Highlights of the agreement include: 

  • Three-year agreement from December 21, 2018, to December 31, 2020 
  • 2.75% wage increase in each year of the agreement 
  • Wage increase retroactive to December 21, 2018 
  • Shift times are defined for day, afternoon and graveyard 
  • Differential increases for afternoon shift, graveyard shift, trainer and team lead 
  • Company’s Extended Care Package premiums will be 100% paid for by the Company 
  • Company’s Dental Plan premiums will be 100% paid for by the Company 
  • Wage scale steps decrease from seven to five 
  • Top wage rate reached after 49 months length of service 

Your Unit 63 Stericycle Bargaining Committee endorses the agreement and encourages members to support its ratification.
