June 27, 2018 - Further to the June 14, 2018 Hotline advising that Local 1944 is being placed under temporary emergency administration, this notice is to inform our membership that the Local has been under administration since Monday, June 25, 2018.

This action was taken in the best interest of the members of Local 1944, at the request of the Local's Executive Board, to carry out the legitimate objects of the Local and the International Union, as well as to assure the performance of the collective bargaining agreement and other duties of a bargaining representative.
 
District Coordinator from District 6 Ron Wyatt has been appointed by the USW International as the Lead Administrator.  He will be assisted as necessary by Co-Administrators Mark Rowlinson, Executive Assistant to the National Director for Canada, and Scott McRitchie, USW District 3 Representative.  John Perquin, from the USW International in Pittsburgh, will be assisting the coordination of Administration.
