March 2, 2018 - On Saturday, March 3, 2018, the Steelworkers' Toronto Area Council in District 5 is organizing their annual Mary Spratt Breakfast, to mark International Women's Day.

This event is held in honour of Mary Spratt, a feminist and Steelworker activist for more than 40 years.  Mary Spratt is remembered as one of the true pioneers of the women's movement within the USW, and one of a few female delegates at Steelworker and Ontario Federation of Labour conferences. Sister Spratt continues to be an inspiration to women following in her footsteps.

Mary Spratt Annual Breakfast: Saturday, March 3 - 9:00 am - 10:30 am - Steelworkers Hall - 25 Cecile Street, Toronto

The event is sponsored by the Toronto and York Region Labour Council. All proceeds will be donated to the local women's services. Please note that after the breakfast, we will join the International Women's Day Rally and March at OISE auditorium 252 Bloor St. West.
