April 24, 2017 - Reminder to all sisters that this upcoming Friday, is the deadline to apply for a spot to attend the District 6 Women’s Conference celebrating the 30th anniversary of Women of Steel.

The women’s conference will take place in Toronto on July 24-25th. USW Local 1944 will be sending up to ten sisters, both experienced and new activists, to attend the conference.

The theme of the conference is Time for HERstory, which will be highlighting the challenges, accomplishments, and contributions of our Women of Steel. The conference will include panels, workshops, interactive theatre, and a social event.

Our Local is full of fierce female activists who can both benefit from, and contribute to, this important conference.
