August 18, 2017 - The USW Local 1944’s NextGen Committee would like to draw attention to the recently announced call out for applicants for Next Up Edmonton and Calgary!

Next Up is a leadership program for young people committed to environmental and social justice. Next Up runs programs across the country to train and grow emerging progressive leadership.

Next Up was created with the belief that a better world is not just possible, but is imperative, and provides leadership training and a supportive network for up and coming young leaders.

The application deadline is September 22 at 11:00 pm local time and shortlisted candidates must be available for interviews on September 30.

In Calgary, there will be one Tuesday evening session from 6 to 9:00 pm each week and three two-day weekend sessions. Successful applicants must be able to attend all of the dates listed above.

In Edmonton, there will be on Tuesday evening session each week and one day-day weekend session.  Successful applicants must be able to attend all of the dates listed above.

Participation will be on your own time and there will be no compensation for participation.
