Telus Bargaining Update #8 – Tentative Agreement Reached – No Concessions
October 21, 2026
Hello members,
As mentioned in Telus Bargaining updates #4, #5, #6, and #7, negotiations with Telus have progressed rapidly.
Last night, your Bargaining Committee reached a Tentative Agreement with the Company, with No Concessions in the Tentative Agreement.
Your Bargaining Committee and your Table Officers (President, Vice President, and Secretary-Treasurer) unanimously support the Tentative Agreement.
Following the key priorities you expressed in your Bargaining Survey, this Tentative Agreement includes no concessions, new job security protections, new language aimed at stabilizing our working conditions, and wage increases in each year of the Agreement. If ratified, the Agreement would be in effect until December 31, 2031.
The details and language of the Tentative Agreement are being compiled now by staff and will be sent to all members on Thursday. To ensure that everyone receives complete and accurate information at the same time, no details or language of the Tentative Agreement will be released until all members receive these official materials on Thursday.
Every member will then have a vote on whether this Tentative Agreement becomes our next Collective Agreement.
Virtual ratification meetings will occur next week, and the full virtual ratification meeting schedule will be sent to you tomorrow.
In Solidarity,
Robin Navin – Customer Service Rep IV
Neil Marshall – Service Technician
David Rankin – Customer Sales & Service Rep
Steve McWhirter – Local Union Rep
Michael Phillips – Local President
Jayson Little – USW Staff Rep
