Under this program participants earned a payment in exchange for volunteering personal time to assist with Union business. While these payments are recorded by the Union, they must be formally claimed by the individual.

If you think you might have taken part in the Pay in Lieu program, please email contact@usw1944.ca to confirm if there is an amount owing to you.

Please note that if you do not contact the Union by March 31, 2029, the Payment will be deemed abandoned and you will be considered to have fully relinquished your rights to it.
