Telus Bargaining Update #7
October 16, 2026
Hello members,
As mentioned in Bargaining Update #6, Collective Agreement negotiations between your Bargaining Committee and Telus have been developing quickly.
As a result of discussions on how both the Union and the Company could achieve their key goals through the bargaining process, both parties have opted to bring only several key items to the table, in an effort to reach a workable agreement that could be the foundation for a more collaborative relationship into the future.
Recent negotiations have narrowed the number of items that are still being discussed at the table, and the parties are exploring whether a Tentative Agreement may be reached in the coming days.
While this timeline is much faster than has occurred in previous rounds of Telus bargaining, it is not uncommon for bargaining to take only a month or two when both parties are working constructively to reach a mutually beneficial Agreement. The approach both parties have taken to narrow the number of items discussed at the table to key issues has resulted in a much faster reduction in the number of outstanding bargaining disagreements between the Union and Company.
We will keep you updated as negotiations continue.
