Telus Bargaining Update #1
Your Bargaining Committee met virtually from March 4–6 to begin preparations for the next round of bargaining with Telus. While our current Collective Agreement does not expire until March 31, 2027, the committee has already started the important work required to ensure we are ready when negotiations begin.
During this meeting, committee members participated in a USW bargaining training session designed to strengthen our understanding of bargaining strategy, member engagement, and the tools available to us as we prepare for negotiations. The training helped ensure that the committee is aligned and ready to represent the interests of the membership effectively at the bargaining table.
We also spent time discussing what matters most to each committee member based on the concerns we hear from members across the country. These conversations are an important first step in identifying the key issues that will shape our bargaining priorities.
One of the major outcomes of this meeting was the development of a bargaining survey that will soon be sent out to all members. This survey will play a critical role in helping us understand your priorities, concerns, and expectations for the next Collective Agreement. Your feedback will guide the committee as we build our bargaining package and determine the issues we bring forward in negotiations.
As we move forward in this process, member participation will be essential. The strength of our bargaining position depends on the engagement and solidarity of the membership we represent.
More updates will be shared as preparations continue.
