Abbotsford Rogers Bargaining Update #6

Hello Members,

Today your committee tabled an offer aimed at ending the current labour dispute. We signaled to the Employer our members' resiliency and that alignment with Vancouver and Surrey in a 3-year term is the only path to successfully ratify a new agreement.

The company is fixated on keeping the Abbotsford unit isolated and oppressed in compensation.

The previous days of bargaining saw the Employer regress on job protections and attempting to move only fractionally on compensation.

We moved, we offered to accept their regressive actions with the only caveat being a 3-year term, to align with Surrey and Vancouver bargaining.

We advised them that the only offer we are prepared to accept is the deal we tabled this morning and they had to decide immediately - OR things would continue to escalate.

They have not responded to the Union's fair and reasonable offer.
