Telus Bargaining Next Steps: Thank you for your participation in the Telus Bargaining Survey. Participation was over 50% higher than in the last bargaining round, showing that folks are very engaged in participating fully in gaining a better Collective Agreement. The Bargaining Committee will be convening soon to review the survey results and discuss our bargaining objectives.

CTWA testimony on Parliament Hill: Earlier this month, our own Lead Organizer Corey Mandryk testified at the federal government’s Standing Committee on Industry and Technology (INDU) alongside other representatives of the Canadian Telecommunications Workers Alliance from Unifor and CUPE. He let MPs on the Committee know the dangers to privacy and national security when telecom work is offshored, watch here.

Artificial Intelligence Survey: Local 1944 is coordinating with Cornell and McMaster Universities on a survey of telecom workers regarding the emerging use of AI in the workplace. This survey should provide useful insight that academics and policy makers alike can use to monitor how AI is changing the industry. Please participate and ensure that you’re clicking on the correct link for your employer. The survey is only open for members at the following employers:
