Weekly Update: January 26 - February 6

More Telus VSPs: On January 28th, Telus announced a total of 548 VSP offers: 502 offers to Network Engineering Operations (NEO) and the Network Operations Centre (NOC), 15 offers for the Information Services team, and 31 offers for the Supply Chain team. As is the pattern, prior to the packages were a bunch of unwelcome changes to some of these departments, like required weekend shifts, and a reduction of compressed work week usage. With network operations already cut to the bone, these packages will only further undermine the integrity of Canada’s telecom system, and we’ll soon be reaching out to Members of Parliament to tell them so (more on this soon).
