Weekly Update: January 12 - 18
Lots of Education coming up: The NextGen Committee did a great job creating a course on how members can write resolutions to pass at their Unit meetings, calling on the Local (or an affiliated group) to take an action or take a position on something. Resolutions can be sent to the Executive Board, the Local Union Delegated Meeting, or Labour Councils that the Unit affiliates with. To learn how resolutions work and how to write them, please sign up for the course here.
There will also be more Membership 101 and Grievance Refresher courses coming up in February, so watch for registration info on these coming soon. Also, we can hold more Basic Steward Training courses whenever we get enough interest in a new class. If you want to join the wait list, click here.
Telus, Ericsson, and ADTbyTelus Bargaining nominations still open: It’s great to see so much interest in members wanting to join their various Bargaining Committees, so many people wanting to make working conditions better for themselves and their coworkers.
