Hello Members,

The application process is now open for members seeking to become a Local 1944 Delegate to the USW International Constitutional Convention taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, from Monday, April 7th to Thursday, April 10th (with travel days on April 6th and 11th). This Convention is where the USW sets policy using resolutions submitted by Locals, and where any changes to the USW Constitution are initiated. The Convention is composed of thousands of delegates from Locals across North America, members like yourself.

We want to send members who would best represent the Local. Your wages and expenses would be fully covered by the Local.

If you want to apply to be one of the Local’s Delegates, please complete this webform by end of day Friday, November 29. The application includes a 200-word ‘essay’ question.

Please be aware that travel to the United States requires that you must have a valid travel passport that does not expire within six months of travel.

If you are taking a VSP you are not eligible to attend this convention.
