Let's Build Bargaining Power with Cross-Country Support for our Strikers

Hi Members,
If you want a better collective agreement in your future, then right now the best way to help make that happen is to support our striking Abbotsford Rogers technicians. Each of our employers, whether Rogers, Telus (including ADTbyTelus), Stratcom, MAP Communications or Securitas, need to know that we are serious about gains for members, we are willing to fight, and when we fight we will win.
We won our Vancouver-Surrey Rogers Lockout in 2023, we’re going to win this Rogers Abbotsford Strike, and we’ll make sure we win any future dispute any of our employers push us into.
Our next phase of escalated strike action involves all members across the country:
If you want to support Abbotsford strikers, please spend one minute to send an automated letter to your Member of Parliament regarding the strike.
This letter demands that parliamentarians Close the Rogers Loophole in Anti-Scab Legislation, which is allowing Rogers to fly managers from across the country into Abbotsford to try to break the strike. This behaviour would be illegal under B.C. and Quebec Anti-Scab Legislation but is not specifically banned under the Federal law that telecoms fall under. The Federal NDP have already told Local 1944 that they will move such an amendment in this next parliamentary session, but we need to spread awareness for this issue.
The letter also draws attention to Rogers’ unreasonable behaviour during these negotiations, and their second-class treatment of smaller communities.
Help Abbotsford and help build Local 1944’s bargaining power by completing your MP letter today:
