USW Local 1944 is looking for committed and passionate members to join our Workers Compensation and Health and Safety Committee. If you have a strong background in health and safety or a passion for advocating on behalf of fellow members, we encourage you to apply for one of the following positions: 

Committee Members: 

• 1 Appendix A Clerical Member 
• 1 Member from Quebec (Craft or Clerical) 

Alternate Positions: 

• 1 Alternate BC Craft 
• 1 Alternate Alberta Craft 
• 1 Alternate BC Clerical 
• 1 Alternate Alberta Clerical 
• 1 Alternate Ontario (Craft or Clerical) 
• 1 Alternate Quebec (Craft or Clerical) 

Ideal candidates will demonstrate: 

• A strong record of health and safety knowledge and experience. 
• Experience or passion for member advocacy and support. 
• The ability to collaborate and work as part of a team. 
• A commitment to improving workplace safety and ensuring fair treatment for injured workers.
