We are excited to spotlight a unique opportunity for our women members to amplify their leadership skills and presence within the labour movement. The acclaimed "Women in Leadership" program is launching a special Spring 2024 session due to its high demand and success. This session is aimed to extend this incredible learning experience to those unable to attend the traditional setting in Harrison Hot Springs.
USW Local 1944 is inviting its members to apply for attendance. Please note that only a select few will be chosen.

Course Overview:
Tailored for union women, the "Women in Leadership" course is an immersive journey into leadership, presenting a blend of current and evolving labor issues. The curriculum is designed to bolster effective communication, motivational techniques, and public speaking skills, aiming to empower women activists. Participants will benefit from practical learning opportunities, using their own experiences and skills to chart their path in leadership, be it aiming for elected positions, supporting political candidates, or assuming leadership roles within unions or communities.
USW Local 1944 is particularly keen to support our women members in participating in this enriching program. We believe in the power of educated, empowered, and skilled leadership to make transformative changes within our union and beyond.
