Every year, USW Local 1944 offers 7 scholarships to members’ children graduating from high school and registering in any post-secondary public institution:

• 3 educational scholarships of $750
• 4 scholarships of $1,000

 The following requirements must be met:

• Applicants must be children of active members of USW Local 1944. “Children” includes biological or birth children, children by adoption, and children by other, equivalent relationship;
• Applicants must be graduating from high school in 2022;
• Applicants must be registering for courses at a public post-secondary institution.

 Applicants must submit the following documents:

• The completed application form,
• Their Grade 12 transcripts or a copy of their latest Grade 12 report card;
• A letter of reference from a teacher or an employer, OR a letter written by someone who is not a family member who can attest to their character and work ethic.

 The application deadline is on Monday, August 1, 2022
