Hello Members, Let’s unite once again on Wednesday, February 25, Pink Shirt Day to take a stand against bullying. Inspired by a group of teenagers from Nova Scotia, who in support of their classmate being bullied for wearing a pink shirt showed up to school with 50 pink tank tops and distributed them the next day, successfully managing to stop the bully. Their act of kindness has inspired countries around the world to take a stand against bullying and raise awareness on its devastating effects. Although this day orginates from a group of teens, they spread an important message that anyone can stand up against bullying and harassment whether its in school or the workplace. USW Local 1944 invites you to show your support on Wednesday, February 25 by wearing a pink shirt. Remember to capture the moment! Share your Pink Shirt Day photo on social media and tag us.
