ABOUT THIS COURSE

This 3-day course was created for Local 1944’s unique needs, in collaboration with the USW Canadian National Office. It focuses on the steward’s role as educator and advocate, and the grievance procedure. Participants will be provided with a manual and an information binder, designed to be utilized as a reference manual to assist them with a variety of workplace issues.

WHO CAN ATTEND

The course is open to all members in good standing, unless you took Shop Steward Level 1 training already in 2021.

EQUIPMENT

Participants will need a computer or tablet with a functioning camera and microphone.
