USW Local 1944 is offering a Bargaining 101 Sip & Learn for members who want to better understand the bargaining process. 

Grab your favourite beverage and join us for a plain-language session on what bargaining looks like, why member participation matters, and how members can prepare before bargaining begins. 

This course is open to all members. 

You will learn about: 

• How collective bargaining works from start to finish
• How bargaining priorities are chosen
• How your participation strengthens the bargaining process
• How to recognize, evaluate, and respond confidently to common employer bargaining strategies
• How the bargaining process changes if negotiations stall—and how you can help
• What job action means and why financial preparedness matters
