USW Local 1944 is offering a Bargaining 101 Sip & Learn for members who want to better understand the bargaining process.
Grab your favourite beverage and join us for a plain-language session on what bargaining looks like, why member participation matters, and how members can prepare before bargaining begins.
This course is open to all members.
You will learn about:
- How collective bargaining works from start to finish
- How bargaining priorities are chosen
- How your participation strengthens the bargaining process
- How to recognize, evaluate, and respond confidently to common employer bargaining strategies
- How the bargaining process changes if negotiations stall—and how you can help
- What job action means and why financial preparedness matters
