We invite you to be part of Justice 2024, the USW’s National Health, Safety, Environment, and Human Rights Conference. This event will take place from October 2-4 in Gatineau, Quebec.
Justice 2024 is an invaluable opportunity for Local 1944 members who are dedicated to health and safety, environmental issues, and human rights to connect and collaborate. Over three days, you'll participate in plenary sessions, engaging workshops, and networking events designed to empower our activism and leadership in these critical areas.
Highlights include:
- Interactive panels and workshops led by experts and fellow members, covering urgent topics like gender-based violence, mental health, clean economy strategies, and effective political communication.
- Updates on the USW’s Stop the Killing campaign, aiming to prevent workplace injuries and fatalities.
- Inspirational talks on labour rights victories, jobs in the sustainable economy, and the historic Elliot Lake strike.

Be mindful that all attendees will be required to provide a written report on their experience and what they learned and how that will translate into helping your unit and the Local following the conference, along with some photos of participation.
