Apply now to attend the 2021 Steelworkers Vote online campaign schools

August 9, 2021 - Elections matter and Steelworker involvement can make a difference. Here’s your chance to get involved: Steelworkers Vote online campaign schools will be held in September and October. These schools are a great opportunity to learn about politics, learn new campaign skills, build a network of engaged Steelworkers and volunteer for the NDP.

CLICK HERE TO APPLY FOR THE 2021 STEELWORKERS VOTE CAMPAIGN SCHOOL.
Applicants should submit for their UTO (see the Union Time Off paragraph below) as soon as they apply, and not wait until they are accepted by the USW, which could be as late as one week prior to the course.

NextGENers and new participants particularly welcome. Members who attended a Steelworkers Vote course before can apply to attend Steelworkers Vote at the new Campaigner level.

While virtual, these schools run over three days and include volunteer hours each evening. Depending on your time zone, online course hours via Zoom are:
8:00 am-2:00 pm Pacific Time + volunteer hours
9:00 am-3:00 pm Mountain Time + volunteer hours
11:00 am-5:00 pm Eastern Time + volunteer hours

If the company UTO tool isn’t working (as has been the case recently) please email contact@usw1944.ca to let us know that you need UTO and this time only we will request it on your behalf once we receive your email.

If you are selected to attend these courses, you are asked to submit to the Local a written summary/review of your experience after you have attended.
