Hello Members,

The application process is now open for members seeking to become a Local 1944 Delegate to the USW International Constitutional Convention taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, from Monday August 8th to Thursday August 11th (with travel days on August 7th and 12th). This Convention is where the USW sets policy using resolutions submitted by Locals, and where any changes to the USW Constitution are initiated. The Convention is composed of thousands of delegates from Locals across North America, members like yourself.

The Local needs to fill at least 10 Delegate positions with members off the shop floor, and we want to send those members who would best represent the Local.

Your wages and expenses would be fully covered by the Local. 

If you want to apply to be one of the Local’s Delegates, please complete this webform by end of day Friday, June 10. The application includes a 200-word ‘essay’ question. 

Please be aware that travel to the United States may still involve Covid-related restrictions in August, and that you must have a valid travel passport.
