February 9, 2021 - The 2021 USW Local 1944 Election of Local Union Officers and Unit Officials will be held on Thursday April 22, from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm (Pacific Time), by electronic ballot.

Nominations for Local Union Officers and Unit Officials will take place at Units’ Q1 meetings, which are being held virtually from March 1 to March 16. Additionally, for this election only, members have the option to mail to the Local Secretary-Treasurer their nomination of either themselves or another member, for any positions up for election. Such mailed nominations must be received by the Burnaby Local Office by end of day, March 19.

The positions that are up for nomination and election will be listed on your Unit’s Meeting Notice.

As per the Local Union Elections Manual, three Election Tellers have been unanimously approved by the Executive Board to monitor that the elections conform to USW regulations

These Tellers are:

Stacey Sherback – Unit 60
Ron Macaraeg – Unit 502
Vickie Blackburn – Unit 601
