October 13, 2020 - The 2020 Provincial Election is now underway in British Columbia. This election, there are more ways to vote than ever:
At-risk voters and voters with disabilities have access to accessible voting: these options include curbside voting, assisted telephone voting, and site-based voting.
All voters can vote by mail. Request a vote-by-mail package before October 17, either online or by calling Elections BC at 1-800-661-8683. Completed vote-by-mail packages must be received by Elections BC before 8:00 pm (Pacific time) on Saturday, October 24.
All voters can vote in advance from Thursday, October 15 to Wednesday, October 21, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. You can also already vote at a district electoral office until 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 24. You can check the Where to Vote app for regular updates.
Vote on General Voting Day on Saturday, October 24, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm (Pacific time) across British Columbia. It’s faster to vote at your assigned voting place, but you can vote at another voting place if it is more convenient to you.
Those who haven’t registered yet or need to update their information have the ability to do so by requesting a vote-by-mail package, or by voting in person (identification will be requested).
Voters are entitled to four consecutive non-working hours during official voting hours, to vote during advance voting or on General Voting Day. Employers cannot apply any cut in pay or other penalties. If this right of yours is impeded in any way by your employer, please contact the Union office at contact@usw1944.ca.

As the province continues to recover from the economic crisis, it is crucial that you give your support to progressive candidates who will defend workers’ rights.
