Advance poll days start today for the 2019 Provincial General Election in Alberta

Tuesday, April 9, 2019 - The Advance poll days for the 2019 Provincial General Election in Alberta start today, April 9, 2019, and will continue until Saturday, April 13, 2019, inclusive, 9:00 am to 8:00 pm daily.

To be eligible to vote, you must be:

  • a Canadian citizen;
  • at least 18 years of age on Election Day;
  • ordinarily resident in Alberta.

You must be a registered voter to cast a ballot. You can register to vote online, or you can register when you arrive at a polling station with a proper ID (such as your Driver’s Licence or Alberta Identification Card).

  • From 8:15 am to 8:00 pm on weekdays;
  • From 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on weekends;
  • From 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on voting days. 

Election Day is on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. Polls will be open from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.
