We can make a difference on June 7
Posted 2018-Jun-6

The Ontario election is going to be a close race on Thursday, June 7, 2018. Ontario just cannot afford Doug Ford.

Only Andrea Horwath and the NDP has a plan to reduce hydro rates by 30 per cent and bring Hydro One back into public control. Only the NDP has a plan to fix our health care including pharmacare and dental care, to reduce hallway medicine, to improve home care for our seniors, to make life more affordable, and to create good jobs for a better future.
"Doug Ford's plan for Ontario will be synonymous with cuts to health care, education, services that are vital for families, and the loss of thousands of jobs," stated USW Local 1944 President Lee Riggs. "On the other hand, Andrea Horwath has put forward a responsible plan to make a positive difference in all aspects of people's lives."
The NDP is in a tie with the Progressive Conservatives. Every vote in every riding makes a difference, and it is up to every one of our members to make change happen for the better in Ontario.

By voting for the NDP on Thursday, June 7, USW Local 1944 members can be a part of positive, better change for Ontario and improve the lives of working people, families and communities.
On June 7, let's not enter a four-year, anti-worker era led by Doug Ford. On June 7, every Steelworker in Ontario needs to go out and vote for a workers-friendly government that will help build a better province.
In Solidarity,
USW Local 1944
