Right off the bat, your Bargaining Committee would like to emphatically thank everyone who attended the general meetings in Vancouver on Wednesday and Surrey on Thursday. Turnout was phenomenal, and the questions and comments showed just how engaged the members of Unit 60 truly are during this round of negotiations.
It was encouraging to hear from you that you're seeing the company's actions on the shop floor for what they are: attempts at divisiveness and distraction. Be prepared for more attempts from your employer to create fear and anxiety in the workplace. Your solidarity is the best defense against these attacks.
Progress at the table has continued to be painstakingly slow, and these past two days were no different. We engaged in some hard bargaining this week. The company has made it extremely clear that their intention is to erode your work.
Your Bargaining Committee's commitment to putting you and your family's interests first remains unbreakable.
This is OUR work.
This is OUR future.
The next dates at the table were set for April 10, 11, 23 & 24.
Thank you for your continued support.
