If Freedom locks you out, your union backs you up If Freedom Mobile senior management locks out hard-working Windsor call centre employees, your union will back you up.
First, financially. Many of you know that unions provide strike pay. But that also applies in lockouts. And for Freedom Mobile members, we have arranged enhanced lockout pay and benefits coverage. Take a look at this summary, and we’ll go over it in detail at tomorrow’s meetings.
Next, a campaign in support of hard-working Windsor call centre employees. Our union and our members across Canada will back you up with a range of public actions. If Freedom Mobile’s senior managers lock you out, this dispute will not be taking place only in Windsor. We have actions planned in other cities to show our support for you. Here is a letter that we sent to Shaw Communications yesterday.
See you at the membership meetings tomorrow: Wednesday September 20th, Holiday Inn Windsor Downtown, 430 Ouellette Avenue, 10:00 am, 2:00 pm, 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm.
Remember, if you wish to be a candidate for the tellers’ election in order to help in the vote count when balloting is completed, email email@example.com by 6 pm Tuesday Sept 19th.
